Steve McCarthy
RT, I've used the rounding hammer that I won in the raffle but still haven't used the diagonal pein you helped me with.

Frank Turley
Nobody is asking for absolute authenticity when making hammers. I'm sending pics of four hammers of mine for comparitive purposes. Shown is a small Japanese hammer along with a 3.5 pound Japanese forging hammer. They have rectangular eyes and rounding faces with relatively short hafts. The other is a dog head which is used by 'saw doctors.' It is stamped with a numeral 2. The one hammer is a cross peen, my most used hammer, a 2.5 pound Channellock. The rule is 12 1/8" long.
