Damascus pocket knife

Recommended Posts

Hello again,
Just replaced my old pocket knife with a new, smaller, recent work of mine.
Small folding pocket knife 15n20 and 1080 steels patternwelded together for the blade with a S5 and mild steel spring. Brass fittings with mosaic pin and ebony scales. Note this doesn't lock, the spring's pressure keeps it closed or open.

I like it Theo. I like the contrast you developed with the pattern, fit and finish appear tight and well formed. I think the blade and handle are a little out of proportion and it'd look nicer with a little longer blade. Looks however are second or lower place in a good utility knife.

From a non-bladesmith old coot a hearty well done!
