August 19, 201213 yr Had to share. My sister wanted a candle snuffer so here's my attempt. I got my inspiration from "A Pattern Book of Tools and Household goods" which is a reproduction of an ad book from the 1700's/ early 1800's. I turned the decorative end on the lathe and forged the taper and also forged the bell from a section of pipe. The end I forge welded solid, but it cracked a little after grinding to fit. Also this was the first project that I could use my new maker's mark. John Rigoni
August 25, 201213 yr Glad you had to share John, feel free to share anything else :D Nice clean piece Mate. Well done!
September 21, 201213 yr Lovely work. The handle end is stunning. Wish I had look you up, when out visiting my Dad in Houston, a few months ago. I have to say that I wouldn't like to be stood next to a forge in the heat of Texas.
