It heat treated well and seems nice and hard......we'll see about that after I give it a bunch of abuse! As you can tell the handle has not been glued or finished. A lot of it that I see seems to be treated (like an anodizing or bluing) for rust prevention I presume. Do you remove this treatment before you use the strapping in your billets?
