August 24, 201114 yr FYI The 5.9 earthquake whose epicenter was reported in Mineral Va, is 4-1/2 hours drive time and 283 miles away from our location. The earthquake WAS NOT felt in downtown Big Chimney. We had no knowledge of the event till we heard about it on the news. Thank you to those that contacted us to see if we were ok.
August 24, 201114 yr It was not felt in downtown Cave Creek either nor the one in Colorado, however some friends of mine in Durango were a little shaken up when their wine rack fell over. That was a real shame for them, they lost four bottles of wine.

August 27, 201114 yr 5.9 is an earthquake? A moose walking under the window shakes things more than that. Glad it wasn't worse, nobody needs a shake that knocks things down. Of course if it were to deflate some of the hot air generators . . . Frosty the Lucky.
