njanvilman Posted July 28, 2011 Share Posted July 28, 2011 Your anvil is known as a "Continental Pattern" and also sometimes refered to as an "Armoror's Anvil". Probably made in the Germany region of Europe. I have a 200 lb anvil that is very similar to yours, just without the stepped feet. Forge away. Frank Turley Posted July 31, 2011 Share Posted July 31, 2011 I was offered a recently made, large anvil to work on at the 2001 Ironfest in Texas. It had the sloping far edge similar to yours. I think that it was furnished by "Old World," which has since changed hands. I could not get used to that portion of the anvil, because I was so accustomed to making right angle bends and shouldering on a 90º side.
