July 16, 201115 yr Well, there's all types of stuff on these forums. This is the forge that Jeffro1205 and myself use. I would like to point out that I had absolutely nothing to do with the creation of this forge. Jeff did all the cutting, construction, etc. Let us know what you guys think, we're always open to constructive criticism :)
August 31, 201114 yr Lengthen the ash tube and make larger openings in the grate if you experience any problems. Nice job.
August 31, 201114 yr very nice Job the only 2 cents I would offer is the fire pot should be level with the hearth makes it easer to rake and mound up your coal
January 3, 201214 yr I agree with Glen, lengthen the ash pipe ( below the tee ) and more/ bigger air holes ( if you need them.) Also, perhaps, some lengths of metal between the legs at the bottom, near the wheels, just to add some strength down there. That will keep stress off the legs when moving it.
January 4, 201214 yr I agree with Frances Trez Cole, lower the fire pot level with the table. I would also put some cross bracing on the legs. Other than those points, light 'er up.
January 12, 201214 yr Author I need to take a few updated photos. Since those pictures were taken (at that time the forge had only been fired up probably 4 or 5 times) there has been the addition of braces on the bottom on the legs and a few other adjustments. The firepot isn't quite level with the table but it realy isn't that high off of the table either. It probably only has about a 1/4" lip.
