WmHorus
Dang and I felt a little guilty listing an anvil for 1k, maybe someone local in the know will call the guy and give him a little talk...
Marksnagel
I'll buy it for $18.50! $18.50 would make me feel guilty. But not as guilty as that guy should feel for $1850.00. Mark <><
jmeineke
Wonder if this is a case of, "Wow, this is really old, really heavy and I've never seen one before - it must be worth a fortune"?
jmeineke
Looks like the're coming out of the woodwork. This one is "only" $400, but heck it's a steal since the same one is going for $700 on eBay, right? http://columbus.craigslist.org/atq/2460067485.html

ThomasPowers
Only needs one sucker---say a wife wanting to buy something special for her husband and not realizing that she could buy over a dozen of them at Quad-State for that amount! (My wife and I have a pact that we don't buy things that cost over $20 for each other unless we vet it with the other first----we made this after a friend's tool budget was blown for a *year* when his wife bought him something *special*; he cried quietly every time a good deal came by for the rest of the year and he couldn't buy it as all the money for tools was *gone*)
jmeineke
I feel bad for the people who end up getting taken like that. I just hope the folks selling these things aren't doing it intentionally, that it's just a case of guesstimating value or because, "on eBay they go for ..... " as opposed to outright hoping for a sucker to come along.
