Aljeter
Howdy, Im new to these forums. New to blacksmithing as well. I was wondering if this anvil is worth $150. It is a 70 lb NC tool short sugar anvil in excellant shape.

ThomasPowers
Good starter anvil and then can morph into your travel anvil as you move up to a bigger shop anvil. As for price as a new anvil you can see what they go for new and then decide if it's a good price compared to an older anvil.
Aljeter
Well I bought it and paid the full price because he delivered it to me.
pkrankow
Well I bought it and paid the full price because he delivered it to me. If you are happy then it was worth it. That is a well reviewed (if smaller) anvil. Phil

I can't wait to start using it. I am taking a class next month from a local blacksmith. I am really excited about starting this. I was a welder for a long time and still do some welding on the side. I got alot of pleasure from that and have always wanted to start doing some blacksmithing.

Maybe when you get into things you will find a farrier who would be happy to buy from you for more than you gave for it. It would be worth more to him or her. You should be fine with it. Good luck.
