postleg Posted April 14, 2011 Share Posted April 14, 2011 Here are some pics of a longhorn skull I just finished. I made it for The Nebraska Cattle Mens Ball art show. It has a 52 in horn span. The horns were made from old air brake shafts from simi trailers. The skull is made from 1/8 in sheet steel. This is the first piece I've made for this show. One small suggestion is that I notice in a few views the support plates behind the nose area and perhaps those could be notched or moved up a bit to keep them hidden?
