October 27, 201015 yr A guy brought me a Schrade knife like that last summer... he had abused it by prying with the tip and broken it off. I reground it a little shorter with a newly formed tip and sent it home... he reported that it was "too sharp" "scary to use". I like the steel in those "Old Timers" not too hard to sharpen but do a lot of work before you have to re-sharpen them. I used to carry one myself as a backup for dressing and skinning game.
