  1. Saw a good blacksmithing demo recently, blacksmith said the firepot needs to be around 4" deep.
  2. Doesn't appear to be any listed on the web site. A phone call with a credit card handy would probably get you the required items. I have purchased books and other items from the US in using this method.
  3. They look OK to me Not the easiest things to make and get to work properly.
  4. Check out the "Super Drill" on PRACTool Products - Home of CLAMP-IT Tool, CLAMP-IT Joiner & SUPER Drill This is a great tool for drilling large holes with a drill press.
  5. Made mine out of 2" pipe & angle iron, but have been told a solid block of hard wood is the correct way to go.
  6. Used a 28lb hammer years ago to drive the master pin out, to break the track chain on dozers. R W
  7. According to the experts, anvils should be mounted on a solid block of timber (mine isn't). If one is mounted on a steel stand with wheels, the wheels would have to be off the floor during use (as previously stated) to keep the stand as ridgid as possible. R W
  8. Appears to be about 3 different forges in the photo gallery all seem to be of excellent design. R W
  9. A used truck brake drum can be made into a very good forge for solid fuel use. R W
