Thanks Thomas , I have seen the 981s go for just over 1000, figured this may be - fair price at 12-1500. Any idea on a good resource for where I can read on the History of Pexto . Google brings pretty limited information unfortunately.

Does this MONSTER even exist ? I have come across this and a few other goodies in a recent storage unit acquisition. I am having absolutely no luck hunting down any information of when this behemoth of a stake plate was made or perhaps what its worth today? Very excited to hear what all the OG's and or anyone else would have for information on this bad boy. =P

Another Gentleman has informed me that it is called a "Clip" and that with the two Pritchett holes indicates that this was specifically designed for farriers. with that being said should I stray away from this type of anvil for a first time bladesmith/blacksmithing anvil ? Also at $500. I question if it is worth the price for a more specific design. PeterWrightPatent ( im assuming late 1800s-Early 1900s

Could someone please help me identify what this lip off of the horn is designed for and perhaps how this effects the value. I am having a hard time finding others like this on the google and could use a hand! As far as I can tell this is a Peter Wright Patent (110)
