November 7, 20169 yr Hi Everyone.I picked up some Pexto stake anvils this weekend and I've been trying to find out the uses for each stake.I was told they came from a company that did work on church steeples. So I guess they would have been used for working copper for flashings and such.I haven't had much luck with google.I was hoping to find a old catalog or something.I got a few cones but they don't go in the plate so I guess they bolted on to the big table that the plate was originally on. I remember having a table like that in shop class in Middle School. Thanks Mike

November 7, 20169 yr Books on working sheet metal often have a couple of pages showing various stakes and discussing their usage. Two quick ones "Oppi Untracht's "Metal Techniques for Craftsmen" and Audels "Sheet Metal Workers Handybook" (I have the 1942 addition Chapter 1 is "Aircraft Sheetmetal work")
