I did not really care for Fear Inoculum but older Tool, yes.

It would be pretty thick to tackle with a plasma cutter. I have some hours into making the first cut on one of mine with a 14" chop saw that I thought would make quick work of it. Wheel kept glazing on me. I also got a heavier duty extension cord to make sure it would carry the amps the saw needed. It did up the amps, I tripped a breaker. A little interweb research seems to show that I should have had it positioned long side up instead of down. Easier said than done when the dang thing weighs like 300#.

I also agree with Thomas that a second test would be a good idea.

What is your source of drinking water? Have it tested.

I thought that I understood, but I think that I did not. Are you trying to stamp the stock like a coin might be made?

A slug is just a term for the material removed from punching the hole. For the others, the picture is the finished part and the hole in it is the 1" hole being pressed out.
-
I cannot tell what is the scale of the picture. Is that entire thing the 1" slug you pressed out or is the hole I see in it the one inch?

You have got to have the computerized digital clocks that can add or remove the days' hours as needed.

Many curtains you have to thread the rod through to hang them, and taking back down sometimes to wash. I suggest making at least one of your flared spirals threaded to screw on, or have a threaded hole into which you put a screw/bolt to lock it onto the rod.

Drop a 1/2 -3/4 inch dia. hardened ball bearing from 10" away. Using your tape measure or ruler, the inches bounced back up x10 is the percent of rebound. If the hardened face has delamination from the base or if it has been through a fire, the rebound will be reduced.

No need to be sorry, I googled and learned. It just seemed odd. Produced water, how do you produce water? You can, but we generally don't.
-
Less likely to be bent/broken, yes, but more likely to give you a harder clunk on the head
-
OK, now you made me search to find out what "produced water" was.

And do the fumes only get released when heating? Would it be fine if cutting it down with a bandsaw or reciprocating saw? And if my forge is in my open driveway would that be ok, or best to just avoid at all costs?
The Hydrogen Sulfide is long gone. What would remain is the products of interaction with the H2S, Iron Sulfide and perhaps hydrogen embrittlement. You could grind/sand with a dust collector and respirator. (Should always use respirator/mask always anyway). Or you could wet sand, provided that you don't introduce harmful by products into your waterways, environment. Search link here:
You are welcome Purple Bullet.

The OP got me sucked down a rabbit hole. I had no idea what a "Sour Well" was. So I googled...
I read this paper:
It addresses some of the questions asked.

Thomas, I think that he is missing the point of this thread, and the technique.
-
That's a nice job you did on the stand.

Read the thread he linked.

They will make a good improvised anvil. There are some posts here regarding just that. I would not cut them up for metal stock.

Let's see if I can tell this story worth a darn. My Ex had not seen Monty Python Either so I introduced her the movies. My kids were raised watching Monty Python. We were all in the car driving a road near home when the ex saw a hubcap at the side of the road. She remarked, "That was further up (or down) the road the day before. Right away, I said "Are you suggesting that hubcaps are migraory?" The kids got it. P.S. I tried to spell migratory in their accent, which is how I said it.

Such a trade is impossible. Without that right arm he would only be one armed! I suppose that is a tongue in cheek remark.

Well That is out of my wheelhouse but at least we got that question better defined. Back to you Frosty...

Fork lift tine is a bit to vague for a good answer. Those come in a variety of sizes, length, width and thickness. Thus the actual weight is over a large spectrum. Are you talking about 3" wide by 24" L? 6" wide, 60" length or perhaps some other monster tine? Perhaps you meant to say in your first post that you are considering a piece of one.

That name sounds familiar from when I visited the MSC site to see for myself.

Volbeat is not rockabilly, you are talking more like Reverend Horton Heat with rockabilly.
