  1. surprise surprise its not as good as i thought it would be,just enought air to keep the fire going...originally i was only going to hook one side up then decided to do both.....i could blow harder with just one side
  2. i finely got my forge to a point were i could fire it up:).....worked well.....all it needs now is some edging around it and maybe some paint....maybe:D

  7. hi everone ...i received the email that's below from the village smith at logan village Brisbane,they have blacksmiths equipment for sale.....i wish i had some spare cash then i would bit myself regards mike As you know, we have had to close our business due to Alan’s illness. We have now set a date for the sale of our workshop equipment and tools – Saturday and Sunday 5th and 6th December 2009, 9.00am – 4.00pm each day. Following many, many requests to buy various pieces of equipment, we will offer the larger items for sale by tender to allow everybody interested the opportunity to make an offer. They are listed with a reserve price in the file on our website This file also contains the Terms and Conditions of Sale. Please read these carefully before making a bid. We are not able to make any exceptions to the terms specified. The smaller workshop tools will be for sale on a first-come, first-served basis during the hours specified over the course of the weekend.   9. we make pipe from 20 mm to 575 mm and and everything in between for all sorts of applications
  10. hi...thanks big city....yes it is a mig and yes the feed was too slow.....i'm still learning to weld and had the feed set low and have been giving it a tickle up,next time i'll give it more feed and see how i go what sort of extrusion do you do.......i work in a plastic extrusion making plastic pipe,been doing it for about 21 years regards mike
  11. decided to build a forge similar to locky.au' forge,started to weld the fire pot today.....ummmmm please don't look to hard at my welding
