it was a short length of 1/2 inch square stock....i will admit that the photo does make it look a lot better then it really is ;)

well i have done about 5 days so far out at the caboolture historical village smithy shop and i have finely made something

hi names Mike and i live at Caboolture Queensland.....i have always been interested in blacksmithing and metal casting with aluminium...... have never tried blacksmithing up until last tuesday week at the Caboolture historical village in they're blacksmith shop...i ....headind back there this coming monday and hope to do one or two days a week learning....also hoping to try melting some aluminium in the forge and casting it
