The carry handle came from the cannibalized BBQ that someone dumped on our road. We recycled just about everything from it. The nice thing about this forge is it will reach welding heat but not get the steel so hot as to burn it to a crisp if left in too long, which I'm famous for doing.

it's a majestic two burner upper liner had some cracks which is normal I guess but I decided to seal them as per the instructions that came with the forge well the sealer I got appears to be eating into the liner
I would call the folks at Majestic and see what they recommend. If nothing else yes scrape all of the sealant out for sure.

Stunning would be my description and to say I love it is an understatement.

That looks really good, I am thinking I will need to build a new stand as the one it has is really frail.
From your picture, all the stand needs is a heavier shelf to sturdy it up.

In future builds I recommend that the mizzou for the burner port be formed around a removable plug
I found that a pool noodle works well for this. We installed the burner port prior to the insulation and Mizzou or Satanite refractory. It worked like a charm.

Your average, garden variety, four foot deep power hammer foundation hole.
And without any skeletons...shucks.

Outstanding find, she looks ready to go to work. If you haven't already heard (read) any type of grinding on it will harm such a beautiful specimen and there is a nice radius on the edges already.

Depends on the size of the anchor.

Something else to consider doing. Go to your profile and add your location. You may be surprised how many members are close to you and a lot of answers are location dependent.
-
But it's a goodie and you brought it to our attention. I'm an oldie who never heard it.

So after all that I feel as though I should have just built a simple side blast forge.
As you progress in this craft, you will find that like anvils one forge is never enough.
I would keep it and continue to refurb it and build a side draft for charcoal. Never know when the supply of coal will materialize.

The swinging pipe and control rope are genius. Nicely done!
I'll say... love it when a plan comes together.

Can't shed any light on it other than a nice find.

My boss in the violin repair shop taught me to touch the freshly sanded tip of an ebony tuning peg into the skin crease next to the nostril, to pick up a bit of skin oil as a polish.
That works quite well on door striker plates that are dry and the door doesn't close easily. Rub a finger there then apply the skin oil to the striker plate.

I still dont see an option to add my location tho
If you go to your profile, in the upper right a button edit profile will bring up a page to add your location.

Great score, I'm green with envy.

Looking good, but I would put a 90° elbow and a quick shut off valve where the hose attaches to the burner.
-
I would use it and never look back. A benefit would be the nice smell in the shop.

Hate to tell you but your anvil has lost it's hardened steel face forward of the raised heel portion. What you are left with is the soft wrought iron base not a good workable anvil.
BTW if you put your location in your profile, you may be surprised how many of the gang are close to you and many answers are location dependent.
