Did you manage to find a coal supplier?

I found a supplier when i move home. £295 40*25kg bags. This is for bituminous house coal.Anyone know if this is a good deal?

  3. Ok I made a test fix that i think I'll leave in place. I used a fire extinguisher bracket.( The car kind) and a bit of 2 or 3 mm steel plate.  Bracket clips on the side of the down pipe nicely (with a little hammer tap) and the little foldy bit holds the plate in place( tight fit though).  Now after an hour and a half in front of the forge I'm exhausted with the heat. I can heat 1 3/4" bright mild to orange/yellow in a few mins and 1/2" square takes no time.

I am a happy fire bunny today :) Thank you so much for the advice guys :)

  4. Im Looking at getting a new bench sander, My grinders suck but I can live with that, I've a couple angle grinders that work well. Can anyone recommend a good manufacturer to look at. Ideally id like a belt sander but im open to ideas. The power in the sanders ive seen is usually 500w or less. I need it to be single phase. Also would it be worth looking at a combi grinder/sander style thing?

  5. I think the problem is the sir supply. Theres no cap on the bottom of the tryuerso the air can escape down as well as up. Power is from a dinky 'hairdryer but I know it blows enough air to melt steel. The only grate I oave I the fire pit is a bit f rebar to hold the coal in.

  6. im planning on getting one of ID forges when i move but for now im toying with the idea of a new forge that i can rework to how i want it.. the on e i have just now has a major flaw.. not enough pressure in the air to really heat it.. i thought if i built a bigger forge i might be able to incorporate better air flow
