Id go with Kozzy on the epoxy anchors. In the past I've used them to hold plates into the floor of a WW2 german observation bunker. Cant remember the brand name though but it had a little glass might have been thin plastic bulb that you dropped in then inserted the bolt which broke the bulb and released the epoxy.

All of the above and, hot metal HAS the right of way. NEVER try to catch hot metal.

I love the anvil set up. Thomas hit it on the head with the level. If you cant find a couple of sawhorses see if you can find a premade metal frame that would adapt to fit.

Got the last bits of my drum forge out the storage boxes today and as I had found a few old sections of angle iron from years back ( I had a scrap pile before I knew about blacksmithing). I attempted the dark art of welding (MIG). Only 1 leg fell off after the first attempt ( fell off twice though 1 of those was when I welded the wrong bits together). Just have to connect an air source now and I should have fire capability again

looks like a nice vice and as far as bits on the jaws.. who knows the little bit missing might be handy one day. How do you intend to mount it?

Im thinking of trying this myself.. What size steel did you use? I was thinking of using flat bar to make the circles though.

I've bought a number of tongs from lawn sales, antique malls, flea markets and paid $15-$20 over that I figure they are too much. At $34 you are getting too close to new costs and should consider that. Antique value is of little importance to us, using value is our consideration priority.
Add 1/2 of that again and your getting to what we pay for new tongs.. think Vaughns want £37($55 usd) upwards for new tongs

Aha; it's obviously intended to break dwarfbread into pieces suitable for throwing at enemies!
