hang a hoist or pulley to a truss roof shed to lift weights
hang a hoist or pulley to a truss roof shed to lift weights Hi, a friend of mine would like to create a lifting point on the truss of his shed to lift weights of 500-600 kg maximum. I told him if you don't know the capacity you risk causing the roof to collapse. How do I determine the capacity of the truss? How should a truss be built and structured to lift weights with a hoist? Thanks. Hanging a Chain Hoist from Truss? Thoughts???

I recommend a support bench for a cutting machine for cutting iron with a support stand for segmenting bars.
You know I trust you and have been listening to your precious advice for many years. How would you do it, and what tricks would you use? Thank you. If you could post a photo with two measurements or a drawing, a diagram. I would be very grateful. A photo is worth a thousand words and explanations.

Thanks, any advice or tips for setting up the bench and the cutting area, perhaps with a rack or a storage shelf on which to store the bars and stumps. Thanks

I recommend a support bench for a cutting machine for cutting iron with a support stand for segmenting bars. https://youtu.be/ZCfKWOW07O4 Hi, I've been thinking about it for a while. I'd like to buy a disc-operated miter saw to cut steel bars and pipes and create a corner cut. Any suggestions? I'd also like to build a bench to rest my drill press on? Any suggestions that are easy and inexpensive to make? Thanks. Chop saw stand

How to bolt a large double-leaf iron garage door
Sorry if I bore you, I bought the iron to make the grates on the windows, I changed the locks or put a large wooden beam diagonally to keep the shutters closed, other than recording the sound of a tiger and making it heard every now and then I don't know what to do, sorry if I'm boring, caution is never enough

How to bolt a large double-leaf iron garage door
Thank you for your precious time. Would you be so kind as to draw me a freehand drawing with a simple example? Thank you. I'm having trouble interpreting your brilliant ideas. The point is that they've now equipped themselves with cordless drills and cordless grinders. Once upon a time, burglary tools included a hammer, a lock pick, a carpenter's crowbar, or perhaps other adapted tools from a plumber. If the job was big, they might even bring a cutting torch. Today, batteries make their job easier. In Italy, they use large bulldozers or excavators to rob banks. First, they steal the bulldozer, then use it to break through the walls of banks and jewelry stores and take away the safes. Thank you again for your valuable advice. I'm sorry if I'm being annoying and bothersome. Thank you for your availability and professionalism. http://sdelayzabor.ru/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/vertushka.jpg

How to bolt a large double-leaf iron garage door
35mm L-and-T frame. Sorry to bother you with any problems. Are you suggesting installing a latch to secure the doors to the ground? The lock and internal padlocks. To access the shed, you have to open a side iron door with a large lock. Therefore, I wouldn't have time to look after the dog. The shed is a storage area, a space we keep for convenience. Perhaps they thought it was uninhabited and wanted to break down the door to collect recycling to take away. Who knows, thanks. ??

How to bolt a large double-leaf iron garage door
Iron door dimensions: Total length 4 meters, height 4 meters, double-leaf, up to 170 cm from the ground. It's made entirely of 3 mm thick iron with T- and L-shaped iron for the frame, approximately 35 mm. The door leaf is 5 cm thick. Above every 43 cm are windows up to 170 cm, with the last 60 cm at the top closed in sheet metal. The windows are 48 cm long and approximately 43 cm high. Thank you. I look forward to your advice. Sorry for the inconvenience.

How to bolt a large double-leaf iron garage door
How to bolt a large double-leaf iron garage door Sorry to bother you. They tried to force open the iron door of one of our garages. They climbed over the courtyard gate, cut the first padlock, then broke a window and tried to force the door open by hand, fortunately in vain. I had made hook and loop latches with pins, and I had installed eyelets with a large padlock. Since I can't install alarms or cameras, could you suggest a system to better lock and barricade the door? It's a minefield with bombs. No, clearly. Thank you. Sorry to bother you. I've secured the glass windows with iron bars made from 20 mm flat iron. Thank you.

Swing Barrier Gate diy
A good method if you don't have a welder is to drill two holes all the way through the posts at 90 degrees to each other. Then simply slip two pieces of bar through the holes so they stick out both sides. This WILL tie the post into the concrete so solidly you'll have to dig it out and break it with sledge hammers to separate them. The hinges I described above are very easy to make from salvaged parts. Let me know if you have any trouble."??? thanks so under the pipe it is better to weld an old iron wheel rim with the retained bolt-type struts to better bind the concrete casting if I find old H-beam stumps as a pillar support it would be indestructible and impassable I have to go to the scrap dealers in the area thanks we'll update each other thanks for your availability sorry if I bored you thanks

Swing Barrier Gate diy
thanks for the good advice. my dilemma is the hinges. maybe they bring me the mesh for the steel concrete and the stumps for plowing for reinforced concrete I had thought about the carpentry tubes for the scaffolding they can be found cheaply used in construction sites being decommissioned, they give them away for little. the problem I repeat are the hinges of the hinges and the upright poles of the pillars. we will have to put those in place by making large foundation holes and pouring a layer of concrete stones and rocks to make the plinths more robust. a friend of mine the owner wanted to put old used tires to use as formwork shell for the plinths what do you think useless and a hindrance thanks sorry if I bother you large 3 meter for truck amd tractor access https://blog.woodfenceexpert.com/2022/03/29/diy-do-it-yourself-strong-no-sag-wood-pedestrian-gate-build/

modular removable gate for agricultural land in the countryside
hedgehog??? they are not criminals they are poor people who to save the costs of delivery to the landfill load the truck and at the first light of dawn find a quiet place like a field to unload surely they were renovating an old house nearby they saw the abandoned and visibly hidden land and at night they unloaded they did not do it in a criminal way but as people who wanted to save time and money, usually they use the rivers to unload the rubble and bulky waste refrigerators washing machines or various debris. anyway thanks a piece along the road I put up some poles a fence and some metal mesh and I surrounded it the closure of the path passage is missing thanks again I'm going to the scrap dealer to find something to recycle thanks '' https://interestingengineering.com/videos/how-to-build-your-own-double-swinging-metal-gate

modular removable gate for agricultural land in the countryside
basically the land was on a hill in a desolate peripheral area, to close the passage we put 2 wooden sleepers and a steel cable at the ends to block the passage. well they stole the steel cable, stolen perhaps to use it as a vehicle towing cable and inside they deposited several piles of rubble, debris and construction waste, they certainly cleaned up some restoration or renovation site of an old building. moral we had to rent a small tipper truck and a small bobcat type mini-loader, the cleanup was very expensive for our small pockets, now to plug the gap we would like to use the wooden poles as pillars and maybe those iron carpentry pipes that they use for scaffolding and scaffolding which I think are sturdy and suitable thanks again for your valuable suggestions thanks

modular removable gate for agricultural land in the countryside
I have to do a DIY job, the truck costs I have to cut costs, the good idea was as he said. first I prepare the holes then I bury the posts pillars, then I assemble the gate and put it in place - Frosty, dismantle the various elements and then screw them, the problem is not that they steal, I have to create an obstacle, since it is abandoned at night they dump the waste there, there are limitations on the waste issue, to save people and deliver it to authorized landfills and pay they abandon the waste at night in isolated places. The problem is not thefts today with cordless grinders and cordless drills in 10 minutes they cut the door off the hinges thanks anyway I'll think about it.

modular removable gate for agricultural land in the countryside
thanks for the advice. I would like to make a telescopic tubular gate in order to reduce the bulk during transport and transport it by car. What do you think? What section of tube do you recommend? I will make the bars, I will flatten the pillars with recycled beams that I will find at the scrapyard. I could make the hinges with tube stumps and as pins I can use thin, thick and long bolts. What do you think about optimising costs? We don't have much money, we are like in the Wild West in my area. thanks https://steelandpipes.co.za/farm-gates/
