I cant even comprehend what those numbers mean.
-
My forge never starts if there are spectators around telling me what to do.
-
Just forge a leaf. Simple. Watch Brian Brazeal's "Why use a rounding hammer" on youtube and watch it step by step
-
I coin it, the Craight peen

My A&H has a 90% rebound
(NOT KIDDING!!!)It's heel scares me to death. I dont want it to fall off as it looks like a cliff face balancing on a sandstone pebble. The waist is way too thin in my opinion, but I love the anvil to death. So do the thieves in the area.

Function over form!
-
Of course I forgot some spaces... A handle that can be removed IE wooden handle on a seperate hammer head.
-
My main item on my wish list currently is a hammer with a handlethatcan be removed. My current hammer is all one piece.
-
I want some chisels and a grinder... But mostly, I want to go take a class with Brian Brazeal.

My A&H weighs 145 and is VERY cut with lines. It looks to have been forged with many pieces if metal, rather than one. Also, the horn is tilted and pointing off to one side. I love it though.

I would love to buy one so i don't have to run extension cord series around the house.

I have been curious, for those of you who seem to have all the tools in the world, do you want anything else? if so, what?

DON'T GRIP THE HAMMER, Let the hammer grip you
(sarcasm for the day is out there)
-
I am going to use 4140. Faces silver, body blue.

Yup. It has been on my mind for awhile. I think the best thing to do will get pictures or a video and call the police. wheeling my anvil in every day before i can get a shed/fence up.
-
Of course Glen, I am outmatched as far as i know and money is not exactly plentiful around my area.
-
you're really being quite judgmental and accusatory. I didn't leave thinks out, I took them in. Please, think about what you say just as much as I do.

.. afrer all of you adults are suggesting this to a Child...
shouldn't we act like responsible adults and suggest ways to secure his shop rather than entertain ways to get even ?
just a thought, carry on
Lighten up a bit please :)
Just joking around, and for the record, I am not incompetent. -
Thank you for the ideas everyone!

I have a dog, but she wouldn't hurt a fly. Maybe one night we will have a stakeout. A few tactics, (heavy pieces of metal) can really encourage the thieves not to come back... we will see what happens.

Wildlife camera is GENIUS, i will have to do that.
-
I was thinking of using my anvil as bait. unchained to it's stand and a video camera in a window. We also have some motion detectors we can wire up. Will still inform the police however.
-
It wasn't taken all the way, just scooted along the ground. It was drooped off the side of the stand and has since been locked in my garage.

Well, got home from school today and found one of my chisels bent all over and marks on my bike chain as well as skid marks where the anvil WAS. Calling the police.
