Anyone do their own wood stabilizing?

Go to you tube and put in wood stabilizing. There are some videos on this subject. The one I watched used the small hand vacuum from harbor freight and min wax wood hardener. Looks simple enough but I'm sure there is a learning curve with it. -

I also am new to blacksmithing. But I have been reading these different forums and gained a wealth of knowledge. Read, read, practice, practice, and then practice some more. There is something of interest for you and the disipline that you want to do. ( knives, decorative art, and so on.) Lotsa luck........crossdawg.......
