J.A , dependin' on the day you get in i could pick you up from Canberra airport on my way past ( it's not really , but 20 minutes extra on a 7 1/2 hr drive ain't gonna matter ) or i know a smith just outside of Canberra who mite if i ask " nicely " .. Matt , the forging area has a roof over it . Cooking & dinning area is either covered with tin or tarp . Glenn has 2 more big tarps we can use & i'll bring my 20' shipping container tarp ( can wrap the whole container ) as well BTW , i forgot ta mention this in earlier posts ... Phil , yes to the corrobaree site Glenn is bringing the 9 & 15 KG hammers down . All other hammer work means a trip up the hill to the workshop Spoke with Glenn , he's got no room in shop to house 20 - 30 - 40 ppl The other site is already set up with the 10 station forge / cooking area / tables ect , seems a bit silly dragin' it all the way back up to the shop & not have any room to put it ( mite be time for MOONY to ave'a clean out of the shop ) I'll make sure MOONY has fuel in the Saracen Scout Car for you to drive up the hill mate , seeing i'm still not able to swing a hammer i could run every 1 up & down the hill, been hangin' ta drive that beast , plus it's too far to walk ( & steep ) Dale Russell

G'Day Dusty , Nice lookin' forge . Aside from the other tip's youse ave been given , here's mine . Find a brake disc that'll fit inta the brake drum youse ave , fill in the space between drum & disc with some clay ( makes it air tight ) beg / borrow a cast iron stink pipe vent cover that'll fit inta the " pot " section of the disc , it should sit about 50 mm below the flat of disc . Now you ave'a " small " firepot ta work outta , if youse need a " bigger fire " lift the " grate " up higher Set up this way the brake disc is your consumable part so when it burns out ( & it will burn out at some time ) it's easy to replace I'll try get out inta shop taday & take some pix of mine for your ta see what i's mean .
