  1. This Anvil is for sale at $600 Australian and the sellers only description is Steel Anvil. Weight, Brand and condition aren't mentioned, but I'm hoping someone on here who can Identify a brand name if possible as well as if its in good condition. Cheers for any help.
  2. I've been searching and found an old table that the seller claims is an old Blacksmiths table. Is it just a table or is it a forge? I can see a few holes on the table making me think it is a forge, but I could be wrong. Link here: Cheers
  3. Does anyone have any concerns over the small chip near the Hardy Hole?
  4. I'll check it out next weekend and make sure it rings, as well as check out the bit of an indent at the end. Otherwise I'll see if I can message the seller, and see if I can a name on it.
  5. Found this Anvil on Gumtree, a Craigslist for Australia. Could anyone tell me what Brand of anvil it is, and whether its worth purchasing? Cheers Sellers link Below: http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/north-adelaide/other-antiques-art-collectables/anvil-blacksmith-s/1016343316
  6. Thanks guys. Anvils definitely are scarce down here in South Australia, I'll be sure to grab this one before it gets away.
  7. Spoken with the seller, and the lowest he can go for is $400 Australian. Is that a good deal? I am also concerned about the anvil, it appears he has oiled it up for the picture. Is there a reason why or is he trying to hide something?
  8. Thank you for all the information, I will take it all on board. My only problem with the Anvil was the overhanging lip and a few dings on the face. But at the moment I think i'm going to buy it. Edit: The seller wants $550 for the Anvil. I've been told its a good price for it weight and quality by people on /r/blacksmith for an Anvil in Australia.
  9. I found this on Gumtree (Australian Craigslist), and want to know whether it's in good condition and suitable for a beginner. If there are any problems with the Anvil could you also add a way to repair it, unless you just advise against buying it to begin with. It is an 85kg Peter Wright anvil.
