WOW, clean and simple. Wish I could do that.
Great detail. When I first saw the blade, I thought, oil on water.
I'm sure your wife will be very pleased.

I haven't done much grinding, and probably won't do any buffing on knives.
In the past i've done a lot of buffing on silver jewelry objects. OUCH!
Grinding? I've touched those 50 grit belts with finger tips, beyond OUCH! now healed.
"Shop safety" : buffers - grab and throw objects
grinders- remove flesh faster than you can imagine
Just a thought on chat subject

Good grind line, I'm not a fan of grinding either, trying to learn to forge closer to shape.

Frustrating and exciting at the same time. Making mistakes and at the same time discovering new things about this process. Your a few steps ahead of me but I can relate, as the forging is becoming easier, and problems are resolving themselves, new unexpected problems arise. There is much more to this than I had imagined. The forging and heat treat are taking all my attention. Handles ,I haven't attempted yet.
You're taking on a lot at one time, and doing very well. The blade shape looks good and I've found the recasso area to be very difficult. You've got a couple of good looking blades and I can see you're progressing nicely on all fronts.
Keep up the good work and keep posting. -
Nice layout, I see you have music, very important.
Enjoy -

Nice work!
How thick is the copper in each piece, and were they annealed often in your process?

It's been slow going the last tree weeks.
I decided to sheet the roof with OSB, thought it would be better. The tin was used but in good condition, just came up a little short so you can see the new stuff.
I built the cupala, about 4'X5' and put a 1" piece of ridgid conduit up for a future weather vane.
Used old barn wood for the gable ends.
My neighbor came over and offered to have his crew lay some concrete.
Out of money for now so siding, concrete etc will have wait, but I'm very pleased, this is a huge step .
