I'd be wary of wearing a cuff on my wrist with wire attached while buffing or grinding.

I used to grind and buff a lot of silver jewelry. Dummy me tried buffing a silver chain I made.
Got wrapped up, pulled my fingers right into the arbor, lucky it was only a 1/3 hp buffer or I would have lost 'em.

If brass to 10xx what would be method?

Unique idea, I like the BOLD strokes, looks real good.

I've found that filing is slow and can give you crisp edges but can be wavy.

Grinding is crisp but can easily git out of control fast.

Forge as close to design as posssable , stay straight and leave enough to grind -file to shape.

No quick easy way, just takes practice .
