  1. (Seven years after this post) I tried to press a fuller into a blade I was making out of some two inch by quarter inch leaf spring. Here's the results.
  2. Got this hammer today and was wondering as to its purpose? Any ideas?
  3. If this forum had "Stickies" this thread should be one.
  4. Would like to see some pics taken from different perspectives, please.
  5. Thanks for kind remarks. Base is a 18" disc overall height is 26.5 inches. Background was added in PS. Too bad I didn't see that little bit of mig wire laying on the base or I would of PS'd it outta there!
  6. Tyrana Moth battles a Venus Fly Trap. Thanks for looking, Rick
  7. Should have said it's a Thompson 1927 A1 Semi auto 45 cal carbine that has been butchered with a cutting torch.
  8. A picture is worth a thousand words and in this case none of them suitable for this forum.
  9. Yeah, now that I think about it, it just complicates the idea of the 22 ton air / hydraulic press I've all ready built. Thanks for the quick input. -Rick
  10. Has anyone built or would it be a good idea to build a power hammer out of a jack hammer? I have a couple of them laying around and a good air compressor. Seems like it would be an easy build. -Rick
  11. Came up with these two steel tanks and cap setting on top of them at the scrapyard, today. -Rick
  12. I find most people appreciate the uniqueness of the wrench, rr spike and horseshoe knifes. They usually buy them for their 'Papa' who's probably not going to run out and stab somebody, anyhow. They are happy and I make a few bucks, (which makes mama happy). Just finished a set of wrench steak knives for a U.S. Marine who is soon to return from Afghanistan. He's happy, too!
  13. Oh, Man! I forgot to include the ever popular 'Rubber Knife' !!!!
  14. Rock, bone, flint, obsidian, bronze, copper, iron, steel, ceramics and titanium are some of the materials knives are made from. I guess a knife has to knows its' limitations too! Rick
  15. Yeah. Thank goodness D-0-D stuff is over so I can get back to some serious goofin' off! See what I did today posted in the knife section under Horseshoe knife. Rick
  16. cnc plasma... (has obsoleted a lot of my equipment). I do have two motorized scroll saws standing by if I run outta stuff to do. The other pieces are left overs from my spur making phase.
  17. All the compliments.... quite humbling.... especially from this crowd....
  18. Did today for FFAT. (First Friday Art Trail). Drum was cut from a H-D muffler.
