Back in the late 1800's-1938, my family made bricks in Haverstraw, NY.(major brickmaking village on the Hudson river). I know they had to have a blacksmith at the yard, so I named mine GORMLEY BRICKYARD FORGE. Gormley being my sir name, lol

I think that instead of banning guns, or in this case swords, everyone should be issued said weapon. The criminals already have access to weapons, so you might as well even the playing field. Some one would be less likely to attack someone knowing that they have a .44 strapped to their leg.

I never have had a piece of metal stuck in my eye, but I always wear safety glasses.A lso, when ever I am using a grinder, I wear a face shield since one time while using a grinder someone put a 7" wheel on a 4" grinder (that was worn down) and the wheel shattered. It kinda scared some sense into me, that and the 7 stiches in my hand. At the time I was taking a OSHA 30hr. class for my shop steward cert.(carpenters union). The previous saturday, we discussed the very same thing happening. Needless to say, when I went back for the next class that saturday and the instructor asked what happened, I felt kinda stupid telling him. Now, I always make sure to check the wheel first before using any grinder thats not my own. Plus ,I got kind of "grinder shy" for about 6 months before I really felt comfortable using any hand held grinder at all. Even till this day, its still always kinda in the back of my mind.

E-bay can be tricky. Alot of times all you find is cheap,not well made tools. I like to buy from well established places, that take pride in what they sell, not someone who bought a storage container that had alot of tools from china in it.

Always check a grinding wheel to make sure the correct size wheel is on a hand held grinder. To big of a wheel=too many rpm's=shattered disc=7 stiches on my hand
