350 round here tis a small one $1.00 a pound is normal but can get most anvils for less due to being a b-smith .

Ol Frosty your just like me when it comes to shoes or boots .... I have two feet and i take care of them as I tend to stand on them a Lot proce is NOT an Issue ... No Fu Fu shoes or Boots but Honest ,Good Working Boots and shoes Leather is what I Love and will buy 99.99999 % of the time them DR. shoes and Boots are better than Se% and to a fellers feet knees,and back they are better . don't matter what you are walking on .
as for a floor for a shop concreat is the best dirt packs down and is hard too for equipment and easy cleaning concreat .JIMHO .

Both Frosty and Thomas have covered the best way to repair the face of the anvil or most any thing else that has a crack in it . I have done it many times working on heavy equipment . even used air ark gouging , Grinding and welding on the armor stuff in the military .
will be looking for the photos .

what needs fixing,repaired, or replaced I have one that I am cleaning right now However, Not parting out .if you have photos of the damage I'll see what I can do .

I use antler tines and the bases of them drill them and tap them in place works good .

I removed A bad face last week cut it lose with a torch and cleaned the anvil up and attached a T11 3/8 plate steel to it with a few plug welds and a primiter weld for a local farmer / smith the rebound was awesome and worked very well the he was very happy as it had been in the family for many years .

Boysey ,Niechie , whay do you need made I can plasma cut and mill about anything you need Brother I have writen many programs for CNC machines .

I make a lot of brass hammers for folks here from lil tappers that weigh in at less than 2 oz or les to 20 lb beaters that are a combnation of brass/ bronze However I have not done many steel ones .
