Progress on my Project (LG 50 pounder)
Nice! I moved my first 100 lb LG around with a 50hp tractor. Larger machine would have been better. Little Giant also has sow blocks and dies in stock.

Fairbanks "B", 75#, bringing back to life.
A 75 & 150 together make a great combo for the shop!

Little GIant Help in the Phoenix area
That's what I'd do. Like Peacock said, I had a machine shop press in and bore a bronze bushing years ago and they didn't get it bored true to the clutch surface. Big Mess! Hard to fix, but we got it done.

What is the history of your Little Giant?
My 25, serial # 183 went to a blacksmith in Nebraska in 1909. My old 100 #1018 (if I remember right) went to the lead mines east of here in 1941. My new 100 went to Sunfish Forge in 2010. Yep it's fairly recent. :D

Power Hammer vs Hydraulic Press (first, that is)
I have 3 power hammers and a hydraulic press. The hammers are by far the most versatile tool.

Little Giant KDS dies
Cool! I Like the KDS.

Little Giant issues
This is the first thing to fix! Lucky if the clutch bearing isn't worn out... Then look at the treadle/clutch return springs. Wood clutch block adjustment is another area to look at..

New Mechanical Power Hammers?
New old stock. Sid got a few frames that were never assembled when he bought the Little Giant company 20+ years ago. I was lucky enough to get one of the 'New' 100 lb hammers. One thing to keep in mind, the rebuilt hammers Sid sells are better than they were new. He and Keri do a great job on them!

Broke 100# LG frame
Tim, yes mostly pattern welded steel ( fairly large billets) and blade work. I have a new style 100lb LG that I rebuilt and a brand new 'heavy' 100 lb from Sid. :) I do agree that a good air hammer is more versitile when you don't know what kind of work is coming through the front door. But I personally need/want/like a hard hittin, fast mechanical for the type of work I do and I never have to adjust the pitman for die hight. I will say if my first 100 LG hadn't have come along when it did back in 97, I would likely own one of Tom's hammers. Because my little 25 LG just wasn't enough hammer...

Broke 100# LG frame
Tim, I respect your opinion. But not everybody wants to progress toward air hammers. I've been running mechanicals for close to 20 years and have run a number of air hammers in other shops. Have also had several opportunities to get into air hammers, but just didn't want or need to. I even spent a week at Tom Clark's shop running air hammers, great hammers, but I like my Little Giants better! Tom was a great man and put his hammers in many shops, I almost got one... He is missed!

Broke 100# LG frame
He is the man. Danny, at least talk to Peacock about the repair. As far as finding a frame, it ain't going to happen. If a frame is good, the rest of the hammer will be good and you'll be looking at a complete hammer. That said, I love the 100 lb Little Giant! Have two of them and will not part with either. :)

Well i finally got a little giant :)
Very good videos! But little info on rebuilding a hammer.

Well i finally got a little giant :)
Congrats! Nice lookin late model hammer! Get Sid's video for sure. It's a bargin at twice the price. In the photo, the toggle links are probably upside down, or backwards causing the ram to sag. Links should be horizontal.

Getting a Little Giant 25# - how to get it into the pickup?
4-5 times most likely... Bummer! You just don't find them that cheap any more.
