Scrapartoz if you don't mind me asking how many hours do you have in a piece? And is this what you do for a living??

Here is what my handle looks like after I fit it to my hand.

You can see alittle of the rim around the bottom and  the 6 stamped under the horn by the handling hole is classic hay Budden.

JHCC the swelling spot in the handle is great.  I have been using one of crazy Ivan's hammers for about a week now and love the bulge.  I fit the handle to what I like and cleaned up the bulge some so it fit inbetween my fingers comfortably.  It is a great reference point for me to know where the hammer is during forging with out having to look.  It has no effect on my ability to chock up on the handle. It really acts like a gear and cog.  Your hand is the gear the swell is the cog.  Pete puts a nice not to big button on the bottom of his handles too.  Again helps with the knowing where your hammer is in your hand with out looking at the hammer.  And the piece of mind that it should not sail out of your hand in a full swing.

Have you ever made your own fire? Did you discover it on your own, we use a lot of others ideas.  The big thing to remember is that if you have seen someone else do it befor you give them the respect and don't claim it as your own.  Or learn something from it and make it better.

That is what I was thinking.  Said that stick had been there since he bought the shop 16 years ago.  He also said he has some others there that he will give a good deal on to because they have been there longer than that piece.

Can't what to here how the hammer works.  Is it from fiery furnace?  Have a couple hot cuts from them like them. 

Ausfire will get a better pic of the table for you.  It is 2.5" thick  seats 8.

Good looking hammer! Maybe with this one you will find out that your thumb does not help in between your hammer and what you are striking.  

Got 13' of 1 5/8" round 4140 for $45, what are some good uses for it??

Nebraska during ww1 had more hemp fields than corn fields.  They are also re-looking a the benefits of hemp. 

bent washer in back top of trunk to hook on a wall anchor.  if o remember it is about 24" tall and 36" wide.  biggest one i have done is about 72" by 96".

Here is one of my trees.  Some of the ones I do clients hange pics of the family on the roots and branches.

I really try to keep as organic of a flow and look as I can when doing flowers and trees.  All ways helps to have a flower sitting by the anvil when forging one.  Have nice landscaping out side the shop to help with the natural look when forging.

One other trick with pipe is stuff a wet rag in the end you are holding.  Saves from the steam and heat traveling up and into your face.

Just. Wanted them to take up less floor space and not be scattered around but all in one spot.
