This 70 lb Fulton I use for a bench anvil. It has an 80% rebound and for what I use it for its a good little anvil. Paid around $100 for it.

My only anvil is a Henry Wright, 108 lbs (at least at the time of manufacture). It was given to me so the price was great. I estimate its manufacture at sometime around the 1890-1920 range if I remember the information from Mr. Postman's book correctly. It has kind of dull,flat sound but at least my ears don't hurt. The rebound is satisfactory, probably around 75% on the initial test. The corners were chipped off but I was able to smooth out the roughest edges. Its pretty flat considering its age. It wasn't on Glen's list, but I'm adding it : ) . This is my first anvil. I'll get pics up later. I was lucky and found it within a couple weeks of starting my search, and even got it locally. This was all due to meeting the steward for the local chapter of the Blacksmith Organization of Arkansas. It has some rust pitting but is otherwise in excellent condition and I plan to get it work polish eventuially. I have had the opportunity to use a few other of different manufacture and size so do have a point of reference.
