Jim Coke
Greetings all, Fun at the forge today.. Ya can only make so many bottle openers .. Started one and got board so I decided to change it up and make a few coat hooks with a set of balls so to speak. Very challenging design but they came out pretty cool.. Forge on and make beautiful things Jim

RogueRugger
These look great! Quick question about the ball fitted in the end (last pic, hanger on right). Is the ball tacked in place or is it heat fitted, e.g. outer ring heated and cold ball pressed in? Outer ring cools and shrinks tightly. Reason for asking is that I've tried this off/on for a few months and the ball eventually drops out for me.
Jim Coke
Greetings Rogue, The ball is set after careful filing the split and than drilled and roll pined in place . Fun to make and a bit of a challenge.. Look close and you can see the pins. Forge on and make beautiful things Jim

Frosty
Very nice Jim, you've done it once again. I really like the large single ball hanger, just a little imagination on my part and I can see a Cyclops worm packing 2 finger brass knuckles. I love art that inspires images in my mind. And no, it doesn't really matter what the artist had in mind. Frosty The Lucky.

Frosty
Funny how stuff works out sometimes isn't it? One thing leads to another and unintended results is the story of my life. Frosty The Lucky.
