small tool rack

Recommended Posts

Don't you just love those times when you spend 10 minutes making something that you have put off making for 4 years, and when you are done you think, "how did I ever live without this.?"

Well I spent more than ten minutes on this, but it is GREAT!
It is about 6 feet long. The square pieces are tubing and are spaced 1 3/4" apart. As you can see in the pictures it holds tongs and hammers well.

I am going to make a similar rack but on the next one I'm going to weld a bunch of round tubing for holding chisels, punches, and similar tools.

Nice rack Dave, if you use flat bar on edge instead of the square bars, tong handles fit better when dropped over them, they also don't deflect as much under the weight of the tools in them which can become quite considerable,

The other thing about tool racks is they tend to never be empty, or enough of them, as they always seem to accumulate tools nearly as fast as you make them.

Workshop's coming along fine there I see.

Keep posting the pics
