February 21, 200917 yr Wow! Fridays at your place would be a treat! Nice fire tools Oscar, great texture and weight. Frosty
February 21, 200917 yr I love it when guys say, well I just made these... it would take me days to do those, and never that good!! At least not yet! really nice stuff, wish I could get in on that iron in the hat, I'd buy a lot of tickets to get those babies!
February 21, 200917 yr Nice work. I'm jealous...I've been away from my forge since Christmas...I gotta get back at it!
February 21, 200917 yr Author bentiron...yes almost everything was done under the powerhammer..there were a bunch of 1" square pieces about 12" long in the drop bin(give or take an inch or two)..so i heated them up & started munchin'.
February 23, 200917 yr They really show that you know how to handle a power hammer! Personally I am far from the type of control displayed here. Truly great work! Excellent finish as well.
February 23, 200917 yr The texture is killer and the transitions are amazing, that is some real nice fuller work. I guess you used maybe some ball dies and fullers? I just need to get my dies for my magician and then I would be happy to produce something half as nice. For the finish what did you do? Did you sand then reheat and apply finish? Coal Forge? February 24, 200917 yr Author jeremiah..most every thing was done under the power hammer(BB) with various dies..as for the finish 80 grit and a lot of elbowgrease and wax..gas forge..
