For your review and consideration...a Christmas present for mama...a ladle with copper bowl (recycled 3/4 inch copper water pipe) and handle from 1/4 inch square stock. Hope she likes it!

its nice! you might tell her to not use it with ascidic things (like tomato based sauses) It can cause a mild food poisoning .....the copper can cause it...

is about 2-1/2 inches. Already wrapped it and didn't measure before! First time I had worked with copper this way and I was amazed at how much it spread. Started out as 3/4 inch water pipe, split and flattened. Thanks for looking!

I don't know what it is about that Iron/Copper combo that works for Moms. I made this for my Mom's birthday last month and she loved it:D. The candle cup was just hammered from pipe and the pan was a circle cut out of heavy copper flashing. They are just 2 great metals to combine.

Very nice. Have you thought about tinning the inside of the ladle?
