texasalterna
hello im new to the site. Ive been doing metal sculptures for a few years and decided to make a forge, cause im tired of hammering on cold metal. Ive never done this before. Heres a picture of it in the process of being built. Its made from a 33 gal barrel and an old parts washer i found laying around work. Ill post more pictures as I build. highlander
you will want to cover the ceramic insulation with something. It becomes a respiratory hazard when it heats up. A castable refractory or a heavy coat of itc-100 should do the job.
