Got inspired by this video

It'd work better and be less noisy if you got the blower fan on straight, Nat.

A tip to the gang wanting to boot strap equipment and tools is watching smithing videos from the 3rd world where they have to make do for everything. They're also an excellent demonstration of something I've been saying for years.

It is the Blacksmith, NOT the tools that does the work. Without the clever primate with the big brain and thumbs the "best" equipment or tools on Earth are just refined dirt slowly reverting to their lowest energy state. (Rust)

Thanks for the video Nat, it's a good use of what's available.

Interesting ideas and concepts. Gets you thinking of different ways of making things work.

Your squirrel cage blower opening would need reduced and then you would have see if it produced enough volume.

To be honest I have electric blower and bellows this was just my experiment and my old fan annoyed me because housing for dan was bad and tried this to see how it

fiddle . tied vire to it and fan was moved a little bit up and fastened with wire it get less vibration .

Well yeah it need reduction for sure but this air is what forge need because of design of squid cage blades , they are shaped so they give less pressure and more air.

Only parts that were removed from actual fan

Disable the ocillating knob if you go any farther.  :)

Yeah, in the inspiration video they had it on a bit while they had it connected to the forge. Could see the base moving till the guy turned it off.

How does it blast a fire?

Frosty The Lucky.

Looks like more than enough. It's easier to reduce too much blast than make more than your blower has to offer.

With that many fire fleas, I would probably reduce the blast by about half. That much blast would work well for coal though. If the video is coal ya too much air.

I can't control the wind, all I can do is adjust my sail’s.
