If you have interest in other historical sites, there are hundreds of choices within an hour's drive or two (museums, battlefields, famous homes, water wonders, parks, caverns, harbours, ets..... The best part is that it's free I also recommend visiting Great Falls, though I've never seen it from the VA side of the river, it's impressive. Wife and I were in CW back in '01 and it still ranks as our favorite vacation. If you are into history ya got tons of it up there. Both American Revolution and Civil War.
