Andy R
Sorry, these are the images of the markings. I have more of the Anvil if needed. As a bit of background. It was in the shed of a house I bought at Lake Macquarie along with a massive vice. Some guys in the UK are helping me identify the vice and suggested I try here to ID the Anvil. Thanks again. Cheers. Andy
Daswulf
Looks like it is a Brooks Stourbridge anvil. Weight stamp is hundredweight and would come out to 120lbs. Or 54kg.
Frosty
Ayup, Brooks Stourbridge is what it says on the side. Welcome aboard Andy, glad to have you. If you put your general location in the header you'll have a better chance of meeting up with other members living within visiting distance. Frosty The Lucky. Irondragon Forge ClayWorks
Welcome from the Ozark Mountains. We love pictures so how about some with full views. I agree with the Brooks Stourbridge Id. I can't control the wind, all I can do is adjust my sail’s. Semper Paratus
Daswulf
Is it a post/leg vise or a machinist vise? Usually a vise is harder to ID than an anvil since many vise were not marked. Some were. As a user of the tools I typically dont worry about the maker name but more about the quality and usability.
