Duckkisser
I’m ready to start smithing got forge anvil and some steel trying to pick a project to practice to get good hammer control and learn basics. Was thinking to make a bunch of leaf keychains to learn to draw, Taper, hammer control. But is there something else I should make to learn good techniques? ThomasPowers
S hooks, bottle openers, any projects that you will try to improve over time.
Chad J.
Good luck, my first project was trying to make twisted handles for a project I was working on. I didn't use them but it started me down this path.
anvil
Make yourself a set of fire tools, poker, rake, shovel, water can. Then use them.
