BayardStrachan Posted May 17, 2022 Author Share Posted May 17, 2022 yes im pretty stoked, ill be able to make a few things with that amount of steel as for an order i think ill get a length of 10mm square and call it a day, honestly for the amount of actual forging i do it should be alright, my main issue with rebar and bits of scrap is that it is just not consistent you can get one piece that behaves well under the hammer and another piece that is an absoute pain in the neck and hard to make anything worthwhile out of Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Once your skills advance enough you can adjust to changing characteristics as you encounter them but it's still a pain. New steel is sooooo much nicer. Frosty The Lucky.
