Heya Folks,
here is my blade finished. The third blade I have forged!
I decided to leave the blade somewhat black from the tempering cycles as I love the old patina look. Just a very thick "Rustic Chopper". Overall the blade took me 1.5 weeks from start to finish working a couple of hours per night after work.
Specs : Forged 5/16 5160, 14.5 " OAL. Approx 2.5 LBS!! Scandi/Convex grind.

That thing looks brutal in a MANLY way. Kinda mini-rambo-ish. very usefull and your lines are very clean.

Thanks for the kinda words folks. It was hard for me to post here with all the amazing work that is being done. My work will all be simple, yet brutal, hard working stuff.

I like the finish on that knife. At 2 1/2 pounds, I bet it will do some serious chopping. I like the wood. Oak?
