Kiltedvikingforge Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 Can someone give me suggestions to reduce dragon breath coming from my forge. Quote
ThomasPowers Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 Did you follow the directions on how to tune your burner? Quote
Latticino Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 Couple of other questions you need to answer: Is that a galvanized mixing tube? Typically not a good idea. Did you use the correct reducing TEE fitting? How about the length of the mixing tube (8-9 times the ID)? What size is your orifice? Are you using a variable pressure gas regulator? How much dragon's breath do you have once the forge is up to temperature? An inch or two is not a bad thing. Quote
Mikey98118 Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 The photo shows that the "T" fitting is the wrong kind, the MIG tip is not axially aligned with the mixing tube, and the tip has never been shortened for tuning. The forge has a very nice shape, but the burner isn't correctly positioned. Quote
