JHCC
Anyone familiar with the anvil from Atlas Knife and Tool? It appears to be a 67 lb block of cast 1050 steel (60 HRC) with a 4" x 6" face and a 3/4" hardy hole on the side. Looks like something that could be a decent small anvil, but I don't want to recommend it to anyone without a sense of how good a tool it is. Not going to post the commercial link. Irondragon Forge ClayWorks
I don't have any experience with it but it does look like a good knife making anvil. Too bad they don't have it in about the 120 pound range.
pnut
I haven't had a chance to use any of their tools but they seem a bit expensive for what you're getting. I looked at the forges they offer and to me they seemed to be overpriced. Pnut
knifechan_
From what I've read about it, it's main feature is that it supposedly has the same performance as a 110#-120# anvil. The reason being is that instead of distributing the weight throughout the horn and heel, it focuses all of it in the base footprint with a 2" radius on one side with a 3/4" hardy. Because of this Sawyer-esque shape and weight distribution, there is more weight under the hammer than a typical anvil (in theory). -kniifechan
Charcold
I think Glen from GS Tongs uses a similar anvil for the same reason, solid block for better rebound than its weight suggests. His may even be a block with hardy in it if memory serves.
