March 30, 20188 yr Just wanted to introduce myself to the forums. HI! Im a novice who lives in the boise Idaho area. Currently working a charcoal forge. started in a hole in the ground with a hairblower. Made a few tools and some small knifes. Looking for like minded people in the area and somewhere to get more resources and COAL! I've been looking around the area for coal. Anyways. New here saying hello!
March 31, 20188 yr Why do you want COAL if you're working a charcoal forge? What will coal do that your charcoal won't? Just sayin'.
April 2, 20188 yr Cause coal is the NEW forge fuel; we have only been using coal less than 1000 years for smithing and charcoal is the old fuel in use for about 3000 years now...
