Rounding up tools to get into blacksmithing.  Hammers?

The hammers are good, but the combo tool only has value as a machinist’s vise. It’s not strong enough to withstand any kind of serious hammering. 

I would take both jaws off and use it as a bench anvil for small jobs with small hammers. 

Cast iron body, use as an anvil will result in it's destruction. Use as a vise should be good for many years!

thanks for the feedback guys!  I already have a Fischer anvil, so I'll just plan on using this as a shop vise per your recommendations
