Wanted to see if anyone knows what kind of steel brooks anvils are casted out of and what time period they were in business for. If you have any info it’d be greatly appreciated!

If you do a google search and put John Brooks anvil and IFI in the search line you'll find out among other things they are cast steel, very high quality, and are still in production.

Early Brooks were forged.

Sweet thank you for the info. I got a little 56 pound brooks anvil in excellent condition. I love it already. Great little anvil for my collection! It still has paint on the face.
