bigjohn
I went with the magnet on the column trick. No pesky cords, chains, cables.
brucegodlesky
For the 2 tabletop models, I keep the keys stuck in the pegboard on the wall. The floor model Turner turret has a keyless chuck. All the other chucks have the keys in the drill drawer,I think:-)

Ten Hammers
Drill hole in the tab on the chuck key. Forge a ring ( about 3" in diameter ) from some # 9 ( non plated ) brace wire and insert the ring in the hole. Gas weld the ring shut. Hang the ring on the rear of the press ( where the drill mounts to the post and has a bolt through the drill housing ). the chuck key in right hand and drill bit in left. Replace the bit in the chuck or into the index. Key never leaves the right hand until bit is either stowed, replaced or in the chuck. Bit is never set down. I keep the index full ( or one hole for the one in the chuck ). This system seems to keep me from losing either bits or chuck keys.
